Privacy Policy
Our dedication to privacy at AGG goes above and beyond the bare minimum required by law and regulation. To achieve our goal of best-in-class data protection and privacy management, AGG must have a solid data privacy governance structure, an efficient data privacy compliance and best practices program, and strict adherence to all legally spelled out privacy duties.
Strategic and operational oversight of this program falls to AGG’s Global Privacy and Data Protection Office, which is adequately resourced and suitably set up to ensure that the technology, physical controls, and security we rely on to oversee the global collection, use, storage, and transfer of personal data complies with statutory and regulatory requirements. In order to accomplish our “best in class” data protection and privacy management objectives, AGG’s strategy is to coordinate the participation of numerous corporate disciplines, such as ethics and compliance, legal, human resources, and information and physical security.
1. FEATURES OF THIS STRATEGY
AGG’s compliance with privacy laws through the use of suitable organizations and programs is supported by a strong board and top management commitment.
Ethics and Compliance at AGG
- The Board resolution that designates AGG’s Vice President, Ethics and Compliance with day-to-day management responsibility for the company’s ethics and compliance program demonstrates the mission and duties of the ethics and compliance department.
- The mission of ethics and compliance is to provide an environment of performance with integrity that supports moral behavior and values and fosters adherence to the law, corporate regulations, and the Code of Business Conduct throughout the worldwide AGG Technology community.
Worldwide Privacy and Data Protection Office of AGG (PDPO).
- The worldwide PDPO of AGG, which is overseen by the company’s Group Data Protection Officer situated in the European Union (EU), is a well-equipped and experienced strategic compliance department that reports to AGG’s Ethics and Compliance group.
- In addition to developing policies, procedures, training, risk assessments, and monitoring programs that enable AGG to provide adequate levels of personal data protection for its clients, employees, and other relevant individuals in all relevant geographies and jurisdictions around the world, the PDPO is also accountable for advising AGG’s businesses on best practices in privacy compliance.
Policies, procedures, and standards for compliance
- A comprehensive, worldwide applicable privacy and data protection policy that adheres to the generally accepted privacy principles (“GAPP”) for the gathering, use, storage, and processing of personal data
- All of AGG’s companies and legal entities must adhere to comprehensive and consistent compliance standards, policies, and procedures to guarantee privacy and data protection.
Employee Training and Awareness
- AGG employs a comprehensive strategy, including new hire instructions, yearly awareness briefings, tailored training for high-risk groups, and recurring awareness messages, to ensure privacy-aware workers throughout the employment lifecycle.
Robust Risk Management Initiatives
- Given the risks that are inevitably associated with achieving AGG’s operational and strategic objectives, the company is dedicated to making risk management a core skill, an essential component of daily operations, and a source of trustworthy, high-quality decision-making.
- The resources in both the Ethics and Compliance organization and its Privacy and Data Protection Office are essential components of AGG’s overall risk assessment program and posture, which includes internal and external audit and monitoring functions. These resources are managed and directed by the Chief Risk Officer.

On new and modified services, systems, and procedures, a consistent Privacy Impact Assessment program is implemented with the goal of disclosing possible concerns before they become a problem.

Additionally, we retain the right to release your personal information where required by law, in order to defend our rights or the rights of others, or in order to comply with a court order, law enforcement request, or other legal process.
5. DISTRIBUTION OF PERSONAL DATA
Your personal information won’t be shared by AGG with anyone else.
AGG may share information about you within AGG and transfer it to countries in the world where we do business in connection with the uses outlined above and in accordance with this Privacy Statement because AGG is a global organization with business processes, management structures, and technical systems that cross borders. Our privacy statement, internal rules, and procedures are made to offer a degree of security for personal information that is uniform across the world. AGG will continue to handle and safeguard your information in accordance with this Privacy Statement even in nations where the law offers less protection for it.
In order to administer or support its business operations, offer professional services, supply client services and solutions, and otherwise handle information on AGG’s behalf, AGG employs service providers, suppliers, and other alliance partners based in numerous nations. It is standard procedure for AGG to demand that these service providers, suppliers, and alliance partners manage personal data and other private information according to AGG’s rules.
Situations could emerge when AGG decides to sell, purchase, combine, or otherwise reorganize enterprises in specific countries for strategic or other commercial reasons. Such a transaction can entail either receiving personal information from sellers or disclosing it to potential or real buyers. In these kinds of transactions, AGG routinely looks for sufficient protection for the information involved.
Please be aware that under some conditions, personal information may be required to be disclosed to government authorities in response to a court order, law enforcement investigation, or other legal process. If we have cause to suspect that AGG, our clients, suppliers, or other parties’ rights or property have been violated or might be violated, we may also share your information to safeguard those parties’ rights or property.
6. OPTIONS AND PREFERENCES FOR PRIVACY
The AGG websites don’t require registration to view them. On several AGG websites, a membership is necessary in order to access specific content and information if you desire to get certain services.
In this respect, AGG may gather personal data from you, such as your name, contact information (such as your phone number and email address), and any other data you voluntarily supply at different points, such as when you submit an online form or request or engage in an online community.
You have the option to opt-in or opt-out of receiving subscription-specific or general messages at the data collection point, within your account preferences, or by employing one of the other techniques detailed in this privacy statement. You can unsubscribe at any time by visiting the AGG Preference Center or using the options at the bottom of every email.
Please be aware that this choice does not apply to communications that are primarily intended to manage business relationships, such as contracts, support messages, or other administrative and transactional alerts where the primary goal is not promotional in nature.
7. TRANSFERS OF INTERNATIONAL DATA
AGG is aware of the various national regulations and duties, as well as how they affect cross-border data transfers. AGG will do so in accordance with existing legislation when sending personal information outside of the country of collection for the aforementioned uses.
AGG respects and considers the major privacy and data protection principles and frameworks around the world, as well as any updates made to them from time to time. Some examples include the OECD Guidelines on the Protection of Privacy and Transborder Flows of Personal Data, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the UK Data Protection Act, the APEC Privacy Framework, and Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act.

For the transmission of personal data from a member state of the European Union (EU), AGG employs a range of legal data transfer procedures, such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs).
AGG has an intragroup agreement that incorporates the EU Standard Contractual Clauses for the transfer and processing of personal data throughout the AGG group. 8. A FRAMEWORK FOR PRIVACY SHIELD
AGG suspended its membership in the Privacy Shield framework as a result of the European Court of Justice’s (ECJ) ruling rejecting the framework, which was put in place to facilitate and legitimate data transfers between the US and EU member countries.
Despite the fact that AGG had received certification for compliance with the Privacy Shield framework, we have used and maintain properly executed data transfer agreements, such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs), to legitimately transfer all of our customers’ personal data globally, including those that were required to conduct customer and company business between the US and EU nations. These agreements are still fully operative today.

Only when necessary or allowed by law, and in compliance with AGG records and information management standards, will we keep personal information on file. We respect your right to privacy, and at your request, AGG will stop using your personal data unless it’s essential to deliver services to you or as otherwise required by law, to respond to your complaints and disputes, or to enforce our agreements.
Please see AGG’s overview of technical and organizational measures (“TOMs”) for further details.
